EDTC 810 Statistics for Educational Research
Candidates will develop competence in applying, synthesizing, and evaluating statistics from sources including dissertation, journals, technical reports, and Web sites. With an emphasis on the scholarship of teaching, candidates will move from basic to context-driven statistics, applying the fundamental concepts and procedures of descriptive and inferential statistics to real-world applications.
Assignment 1: Methods Literature Review
This paper examined five methods sections for peer-reviewed research about the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on technology and education. The methodologies were quantitative and mixed methods and the analysis focused on the similarities and differences in sample size, population, instrument, and data analysis technique.
Assignment 3: Research Proposal
This paper proposed a convergent parallel mixed methods study exploring the relationship of technology integration and faculty willingness to embrace it in nursing programs
The proposal includes a review of the relevant literature, the research questions, and the overall methodology for the study.
Assignment 3: Value of the Study
This presentation reviewed the contents of the research proposal in a PowerPoint format, including the research problem, significance of the problem, research questions, existing research, population and sample, methodology, and data collection and data analysis procedures.
Assignment 2: Data/Findings Analysis
This paper re-examined the five peer-reviewed studies from Assignment 1 about the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on technology and education.. The data analysis strategies of these quantitative and mixed methods studies were examined, as well as how the findings connected back to the initial research questions of the studies.
