EDTC 807 Implementation and Evaluation of Curriculum
Professor: Dr. Tracy Amerman
This course will provide candidates with a comprehensive understanding of the landscape of implementation and evaluation of educational technology programs. The philosophies, methods, and processes of curriculum design in educational technology will provide the framework for curricular models; resources for decision-making; and evaluation methods for educational and corporate settings.
Assessment 1: Short Paper Historical Roots
This paper focused on the curriculum struggles within the 19th and 20th centuries. It emphasized the struggle for power during this time between the different committees and researchers. Many of the ideas from this struggle can still be seen in the American curriculum today.
Assessment 2: Informal Learning
This paper covered the history and development of the informal learning trend, microlearning, in educational contexts. A brief overview of the evolution of this trend was reviewed and a summary of the studies related to the field of education were discussed.
Assessment 3: Curriculum Implementation
Plan
This paper includes a proposal to create an Asthma Friendly School Environment. The goal of the program that would be designed reduce absenteeism in school with students who have asthma. A systems-based proposal and evaluation plan are included.
